Spinbox Launch NFRC Website

The National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) is the UK’s largest roofing association representing over 70% of the roofing industry by value.

NFRC approached Spinbox Media with a requirement for a completely new website that would store the profiles of all their federation members and allow the general public to perform searches based on services or materials offered, or merchant products available.  The search needed to be able to return results based on a postcode entered by the user and display a radius.

Also, trade members needed to be able to log in to the site and update their profiles, submit accident reports, report unruly members, and receive the latest in industry news and events.

The main objective was to allow NFRC to be able to administrate the entire website and all its members from one location while providing a secure and stable system in which all the information would be stored. The website itself needed to be slick, well designed and user friendly with great emphasis on search functionality.

Spinbox completed the project on time using Sitefinity 4.3 as the engine for development.  Spinbox have been developing with Sitefinity for some years and have extensive knowledge of deploying bespoke solutions for a range of application using their ASP.net CMS.

Spinbox were also able to extend Sitefinity by creating Custom Report Builder and CRM Modules.

The Report Builder allows NFRC to create and run reports based on selected filters and values. If required, the report can then be exported to create a mailing list for use in the built in Email Campaign Module.

The custom CRM module, although complex, was easy to integrate. The main task was implementing the logic required to perform searches against a multitude of criteria and then to display the backend functionality in a way that is native to the default Sitefinity UI.

The result was a clean, well designed website that conforms seamlessly to the requirements set out by the NFRC.
