Spindocs
One such widget that we believe has saved a considerable amount of time for developers, designers and content editors alike is Spindocs; the first Microsoft Word to (X)HTML converter for the Sitefinity CMS.
For those of us who have had to transfer copy from a Word document to their website, we know it can be a laborious task consisting of copying, pasting, re-formatting and then re-formatting again. Some of us have found neat tricks that make the process a little easier to stop the dreaded Microsoft Word tags finding their way into our HTML.
Spinbox went a stage further by developing Spindocs which not only converts a fully formatted Word document into standards compliant X(HTML), but it can strip the Word formatting and deal with any embedded images too by essentially organising them into Sitefinity image libraries – including adding alternative text!
We haven’t stopped there...
Quick Designer
Anyone who has developed in Sitefinity 3.7 knows the benefit of being able to decorate Web Editors which allow them to create, update or modify properties in their UserControls in a friendly manner.
Seeing as we had gotten used to this process and don’t like saying goodbye to good things, we developed a fantastic widget called the Quick Designer which should please the majority of Sitefinity developers out there, wherever you are!
Quick Designer not only includes the controls that you would have used in Sitefinity 3.x but extends the amount of useful controls that you are able to use for Sitefinity 4 & 5.
Image Banner Control
The Image Banner Control is a fantastic widget that allows you to add multiple image and text rotations with up to 28 different transition effects to your website with ease. Simply drag in the widget in the usual manner, upload your images and add banner text, if required. The widget has a great UI with range sliders used to control Transition timeout and speed.
Dynamic Mega Menu
We built the dynamic mega menu for a client of ours to create a cleanly coded jQuery and CSS maga menu with built in Page Group/Parent Node image display. You’re able to upload an image per page and if that page happens to be root level (1st level), when the link is hovered over on the front end, the image and page title will be displayed in the menu itself.
Within days of launch, a developer called in asking if we would release the widget for sale for use in his own projects.
